Holistic AI describes itself as the enterprise AI governance platform. Where most governance tools focus on registers and paperwork, it puts weight on testing models, LLMs and agents for security, safety and bias1.

Best for: Enterprises that build or deploy their own models and agents and need testing, red-teaming and production monitoring alongside an AI inventory.

Not the right fit for: Companies that only use off-the-shelf AI tools and need a written policy with light controls.

What Holistic AI does for an AI policy

The platform discovers models, agents and AI applications across cloud, code and SaaS and keeps a live inventory. It red-teams for prompt injection and jailbreaks, monitors systems in production, maps controls to the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001 and collects audit evidence. Its "guardian agents" monitor and enforce policies on autonomous AI in real time1.

The firm reports being named a Challenger in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for AI Governance Platforms. Its home page shows logos such as Siemens and Unilever but does not label them as customers or describe any engagement, and it publishes no prices1.

For a company that only buys AI tools, much of this is more than our template requires. For one that builds agents of its own, testing and monitoring support clauses 7, 14 and 15.

  • How do guardian agents enforce a policy: by blocking, alerting or both?
  • Which parts of the platform are useful to a company that does not build its own models?
